Atlas 2 (formerly 286 Pro) adopts a modular channel design. The 24 amino acid positions are allocated by group, divided into 4 positions per group. Each channel is equipped with an independent reactor, enabling multi-sequence parallel synthesis. The system adopts an “on-demand feeding, complete transfer” raw material management approach. Users weigh the required amino acids for each synthesis batch, and the instrument automatically performs one-time full transfer into the reactor. This effectively avoids reagent waste and is particularly suitable for mid-scale R&D applications involving expensive amino acids (e.g., 1–5 g impurity profile studies).Through a simplified and intelligent design, the instrument reduces operational complexity and is an ideal platform for peptide synthesis teaching, method standardization, and process optimization research.
